Therapy is an investment in you. It is an opportunity for you to listen to yourself and for you to feel heard. It is a weekly space for you to press the pause button and to be curious about what is going on for you.
Directed by yourself but within a collaborative process with me, we can explore all your feelings and thoughts, all the different parts of you with curiosity and without judgement. We can spot and examine core beliefs affecting your life, we can discover how you have adapted in the past and how you continue to adapt to the world around you, we can identify repeating patterns of relating to yourself and to others, we can be curious about what your body is saying and about the memories you carry. We can be curious about how your past experiences have shaped you and how motivations and fears beyond your awareness are impacting upon your life and relationships today.
Our therapeutic relationship is an opportunity to focus on the "here and now": on your responses, sensations, feelings and thoughts experienced within that relationship with a trained therapist, who, whilst first and foremost is a fellow human being, is also not a part of your outside life and whose objective is to understand you and your internal world without judgement.
One key aim of therapy is to raise awareness of what you do and how you are in the world. Once you can see, you then have choices and then you can affect change. Change that you choose.
